Annual Firemen’s Dance

The Mascoutah Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting our Annual Firemen’s Dance on February 25, 2012 at the Mascoutah Sportsman’s Club from 8:30pm – 12:30am. The Jumpstarts with Danny Davis will provide the entertainment. Admission at the door will be $5.00.

Thanks to your overwhelming support in previous years we have been able to update and add to our equipment that is used daily by our department. This new equipment has proven extremely useful on many responses. 2011 was a busy year as the department responded to 234 calls. Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards the replacement of outdated life safety and personal protective equipment.

Mailers were sent to all Mascoutah City and Mascoutah Rural Fire Protection District addresses. Included in the flyers are tickets for entry to the dance ($3.00 each or $10.00 for 4). If you did not receive a mailer please contact us and we can send one. If you need additional tickets please contact us or simply photocopy and cut out the tickets from the mailer.

The members of the Mascoutah Fire Department would like to thank you the residents of our district for the support you have given us over the years. Without your support the Mascoutah Fire Department would not be able to provide you with the level of service it does today. We look forward to seeing you at our dance.

Check your Smoke Detectors

With the end of Daylight Savings Time it is a great time to replace the batteries in your Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Detectors. Having fresh batteries in these devices will give you peace of mind that they will operate correctly when you need them.

While you are changing the batteries also check that your smoke detector does not have an expriration date that has passed. Most smoke detectors are good for 10 years.
